What's Happening A Go-Go: Scranton


An ad for What's Happening A Go-Go in Scranton, from April 18, 1968. The main act here is The Remains. Still looking for information on the Scranton rock scene from the 1950's and 60's. If anyone has any information to share please contact me.

This was "the place" for rock & roll. I remember seeing The Strawberry Alarm Clock, The Vagrants (Leslie West), Ravi Shankar and others I can't recall right now. Flat black walls & ceiling, neon posters and all black lighting. What a great memory!!!!!!!!

Saw Vanilla Fudge, Strawberry Alarm Clock, and Cryin' Shames there. Was a great place! Scranton also kicked ass for local music!
