Luna Park: Scranton

One of the larger Luna Park remains is this corner of the Shoot-the-Chute. Most of the rest is buried under I-81.

Hi, Frank--I still never found these ruins but I haven't been working in Scranton for almost a year, so I never get to the park.

I'm glad to see you're still taking pictures!

I am sending your blog link to my cousin in Michigan, who grew up in South Side and would surely enjoy your views of his hometown.

Wishing you well!

What was Shoot-the-Chute? I'm not from Scranton.

The Shoot-the-Chute was an amusement park ride where you came down a chute in a small boat. They were fairly common in older amusement parks.
