CTS 4215 passing the Allen Theatre during the Cleveland Press Parade of Progress, April 27, 1952. Photographer unknown. According to James A. Toman and Blaine S. Hays fine book "Cleveland's Transit Vehicles" this was the only time a PCC car ran on Euclid Avenue. Their domain was mostly on Superior, St. Clair and one of the west side routes.

Gair Linhart & The Diamonds


A blast from the past...
A popular Cleveland group. I used to see them a lot during the summer of 1981, usually at the Euclid Tavern.


Tucky's was run by a former Cleveland councilman, and was notorious for ripping off bands that played there. It previously had been the Happy Apple Disco. John Bassette was a famous Cleveland based singer, known for songs such as "Hessler Street" and Weed and Wine."

Today marks the 92nd anniversary of the opening of the Ohio Theatre. This ad from January 7, 1968 is from another big budget bomb that plagued the theatre in its last years as a film house.
