Beverly Hills Supper Club Fire

This past weekend marked the 40th anniversary of the Beverly Hills Supper Club fire in Southgate, Kentucky. The fire ultimately claimed 165 lives and scores of injuries. The nightclub was overcrowded on the evening of Saturday, May 28, 1977. The club also lacked sufficient exits, some also led to additions built onto the club, trapping many in the inferno.
